Quite simply, Practical Music is Tom and Christine Pearce and between us we have more years of experience in the music business than we feel like admitting to on a webpage! Let's just say that we met in 1985 at Wisseloord studios here in Holland, where Tom was visiting for a year or so to record an album with Elton John (Leather Jackets) and Chris was working there as the assistant manager and occasional recording engineer.

Practical Music came into existence in 1995 when we finally settled back in Holland and since then we have worked on almost every concievable kind of media related project - from artist production to TV commercials, from voice over to stage management and much more besides.

In recent years we have become involved in many different and exciting projects and we have now decided to separate out some of our activities so that we can both provide a better service to our clients and stay sane! So, right now, Practical Music has become more about Tom and his work with artists and game clients, supported by our game audio partner, Sync Solutions while Chris has moved on to run a new side to the company - Practical Events.

Practical Events has been the logical next step for Chris to take ever since her reputation for organisation started to attract serious attention. Chris has always been active within Practical Music organising panels and conferences at events such as the Amsterdam Dance Event and Noorderslag as well as working on video shoots for commercials and similar projects. However, it was the phenomenal success of last years Game in the City event that has prompted the move to her own side of the company.
